Hi all,
I'm going back to college to study Public Relations, and I'm having trouble getting hold of some of the books I need. This is a serious longshot, but am wondering if anyone has electronic/scanned copies of any of the following, which I would of course be willing to purchase rather than borrow:
Gunning, E. (2003). Public Relations: A Practical Approach. Dublin:
Gill & Macmillan.
Bland, M, Theaker, A and Wragg, D - Effective Media Relations,
London:Kogan Page (2005)
Baines and Fill (2014) Marketing. Oxford University Press
Modern Management – Theory and Practice for Irish Students. Tiernan,
Morley and
Foley (Third Edition): Gill & McMillan, 2007.
Exploring Public Relations; 3rd Edition; Ralph Tench, Liz Yeomans; Feb
14; Paperback; ISBN13: 9780273757771
The New Rules of Marketing & PR: How to Use Social Media, Online
Video, Mobile Applications, Blogs, News Releases, and Viral Marketing
to Reach Buyers Directly, 4th Edition. David Meerman Scott. ISBN:
978-1-118-48876-8
On a related note, does anyone know if Bookshare is only open to people in the US? Or could I use it in Ireland?
Thanks a million for any help!

Are they available on Kindle?
If you prefer your books be in plain text or your own choice of format, have a look at this handy program for converting purchased ebooks.

oh wow thanks! didn't know about that. A couple are in Kindle. That's so helpful, now I can at least get some of them, thank you!
I don’t think you can download textbooks outside of the US from Bookshare, but I couldn’t find those books on Bookshare after doing a very quick search, anyway.
Violet’s Kindle suggestion is good. You can convert Kindle books into plain text. And the iOS Kindle app is accessible if you have access to an iPhone or iPad.
But most of these books look like textbooks, which means that the publishers almost certainly have electronic copies available. Your college should be able to help.
I worked in PR for three years after college before escaping late last year. PR (and especially media relations) is not my cup of tea, but I'd be happy to hsare my experience if you ever have questions.
